On Friday, the makers have locked 30th August as its release date. It means Nani is challenging Akkineni Nagarjuna. It is known the news that Nagarjuna is also busy in the shoot of upcoming project Manmadhudu 2, in which Rakul Preet Singh is playing the lead role. Nagarjuna is also planning to release Manmadhudu 2, on the occasion of his birthday which falls on 29th August. As Gang Leader is arriving on 30th August and Manmadhudu 2 on 29th August, both the movies will compete with each other at the box office. Though Nagarjuna has not made an official announcement regarding the release of Manmadhudu 2 till date. Speaking at Jersey’s pre-release, Nani, who is popular for his natural performance, expressed his wish to act alongside senior hero Venkatesh in a multi-starrer. Gentleman actor Nani said that Venkatesh is the only star whom he likes the most both on the screen and in person.
During his speech, Nani thanked Venkatesh Daggubati for attending the pr release event of Jersey and he left Venkatesh in heaps of praises.
Nani concluded by saying that he is eagerly waiting for the day to see his dream come true. Everybody is aware of that earlier Nani acted with King Nagarjuna in multistarrer Devadas, directed by Sriram Aditya, but unfortunately, the movie was ended up commercially flop at the box office. Now once again Nani wants to act in a multistarrer but this time with Venkatesh, who is basking in the glory of his latest offering F2 Fun and Frustration, directed by Anil Ravipudi and bankrolled by Dil Raju.
According to Nani, his friends have suggested him to work with Venkatesh and currently, he is waiting for the right script to make his dream true.
About Jersey, Nani said that upcoming sport based drama Jersey was my best work till date.
U-Turn fame Shraddha Srinath is playing the female lead and she will be seen playing the role of Nani’ wife in this film, which is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and is bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on 19th April.
Apart from Jersey, Nani will also be seen in Vikram Kumar’ directorial venture Gang Leader. On the other side, Venkatesh is currently working with Naga Chaitanya in upcoming mulistarrer Venky Mama.
