Suryakantham Movie Review: Niharika Konidela and Rahul Vijay starrer SuryaKantham, has hit the theatres today on 29th March 2019. The romantic and comedy entertainer is directed by Pranith Bramandapally and is bankrolled by Srujan Yarabolu, Sundeep Yerramreddy whereas it has the music by Mark K Robin. Mega Prince Varun Tej is presenting SuryaKantham. SuryaKantham was awarded a clean U certificate from the Censor board. Mega Princess is pinning a lot of hopes on this movie this time. Let’s see the storyline of SuryaKantham.
Story: Abhi (Rahul Vijay), Pooja ( Perlene Bhesania) like each other and gets engaged. Abhi decides to reveal the truth about his ex-girlfriend Suryakantham (Niharika Konidela) before getting married. But Suryakantham comes back into the life of Abhi. What happens after this form the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Niharika Konidela
Entertainment
Minus Points:
Emotional scenes
Screenplay
Direction
Performance: The performance of Niharika Konidela in Suryakantam as an open-minded girl is highlighted. She has screen presence, but she still has a long way to get noticed for acting skills. She has to work on some of her emotions, apart from relying only on her looks. Rahul Vijay is good in his role as Abhi. There is nothing much to talk about his performance. Perlene Bhesania is just ok. Suhasini in the role of mother does a good job in a limited role. Sivaji Raja, Satya and others performed accordingly.
Technical: The story of Suryakantham is too thin. Editing is smooth but it needs a lot of trimming. Some dialogues are good. Pranith Bramandapally’s direction is pretty average. Music by Mark K Robin is outright ordinary. The film’s cinematography is pleasant. Production design is neat. The pace of SuryaKantham is damn slow.
Analysis: The triangular love story Suryakantam starts as Rahul’s parents arrange matches for him and end on a happy note as he gets married. Both the halves are filled with boring moments, and it has a lot to do with writing, which is weak.
