Nagarjuna is also planning to release Manmadhudu 2, on the occasion of his birthday which falls on 29th August. As Gang Leader is arriving on 30th August and Manmadhudu 2 on 29th August, both the movies will compete with each other at the box office. Chitralahari Collections: This year, four films of Mega family released in theatres. Mega Power Star Ram Charan came up with action entertainer Vinaya Vidheya Rama, directed by Boyapati Srinu in which he romanced with Kiara Advani and the movie was ended up the disaster at the box office. Later Mega Prince Varun Tej delivered comedy and romantic entertainer F2 Fun and Frustration in which he was seen in Venkatesh Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada. F2 was blockbuster and now it is going to be made in Bollywood and will be co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju. After F2, Mega Princess Niharika Konidela starrer Suryakantham has arrived at the theatres, which was rejected by the audiences on its opening day and she scores hat trick flop with Suryakantham after Oka Manasu and happy Wedding. Now it was the turn of another Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej. After he has also delivered a series of commercially flop movies, pinned lot of hopes on Chitralahari. The movie has finally hit the theatres today on 12th April.
According to the traders report, Chitralahari has earned $47,668 from 98 locations in its Premieres shows which is a decent figure. Finally, Sai Dharam Tej has crushed the collection record of Niharika Konidela starrer Suryakantham’ at the USA box office.
Niharika’s ‘Suryakanatham’ premiere collections were set to be around $30,180. It means Sai Dharam Tej has beaten Niharika Konidela in the term of Premieres Collections.
Chitralahari is directed by Kishore Tirumala and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The film has the music by Devi Sri Prasad. Apart from Sai Dharam Tej, the film also has Sunil, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Nivetha Pethuraj and Posani Murali Krishna.
